This is a private commissioned piece, a new direction digitally printed onto acrylic sheet with a light box so the portal is illuminated. The shape inspired by Qing ceramic vase/ portals that reveal landscapes scenesβ¦.. The scenes show the transition or exodus for so many people from Hong Kong relocated to U.K. East to West with fragments of personal stories. Expat life in Asia, with contrasting background of, black tie champagne events, riot police, art fairs, protests, lion dance, Sampan's, taxis, bridges, skyscapes. London, Essex seagulls, burger van, buses, tube travel during the pandemic... like my brain a big cacophony of stuff β¦
